Dictionary For Dads

Dictionary For Dads is a nonprofit project that evolved out of the Metallic Lathers Local 46 Union Hall in NYC. Dictionary For Dads shares education, resources, and practical experiences that are fundamental in helping mothers and fathers make informed decisions about parenting. Our goal is to assist parents in raising happy and healthy children. We understand that parenting is often complex and confusing with many variables including but not limited to physical health, nutrition, medical, psychological, developmental, environmental, marital, social and academics. It is our goal to provide every parent with the education, information and resources they need for all dilemmas when they occur; as we are defining the world of parenting one situation at a time. The core of this effort is our dynamic online resource center which was designed by Corinne Galliano and features many practical articles written by contributors that tackle everyday situations in the world of parenting with straight forward solutions, tools and tips.

Dictionary for Dads believes that the label of a "mom or dad” is one which is earned not provided through birth.

It is our aim to provide every parent with an abundance of education, information, resources and solutions to successfully manage any and all parenting dilemmas when they occur; as we are defining the world of parenting one situation at a time.

Dictionary For Dads is written collaboratively by professional and non professional individuals who write without pay. Anyone with Internet access can make suggestions or submit articles for publication.  In order to protect the quality of our site and validity of our information there is a criteria that must be met in order to be published. Due to the subject nature of our information all content must have a verifiable sources from an academic and/or professional school of thought.  Dictionary For Dads does not generate any money and will not accept money to publish articles or links. Furthermore, we reserve the right to reject any articles and we discourage any submission that is designed solely to promote books, talk shows, products, schools, daycare centers, political agendas or any of the like. However we value our authors, research centers, academic institutions and the many professionals that specialize in families and children and we will provide links for them at their request.
